🌙 SEXUALITY & PREFERENCES: Peter is very bisexual, so m/f and m/m are both fine for him. He's 19 so on the younger side, but as for age limits I personally wouldn't want to throw him with anyone too young (like 16) or too old (late 30s and older). 🌙 PHYSICAL AFFECTION: He's a little detached about touching these days, though in theory he likes it. He's not likely to initiate unless he's comfortable with someone. 🌙 HUGGING: Yes please, he deserves this cuteness in his life 🌙 KISSING: At random, no thanks. If the thread is set up for a bingo card or he's aphro'd, sure. 🌙 FLIRTING: YES PLEASE. let's build up this boy's tolerance so he can function properly when someone flirts with him 🌙 RELATIONSHIPS: I think he's in a friends-with-benefits state of mind, though I'm not opposed to him falling for someone. 🌙 PHYSICAL VIOLENCE: I'm game for this in the right situation, but this is spider-man so we would need to have dialogue oocly to make sure it makes sense. 🌙 DEATH: i know the game has a death mechanic but presently i'm not planning to kill him. 🌙 OFF LIMITS: Really hard kinks he would not be interested in. You can see his opt out kinks on his application here. When in doubt, you CAN always ask. I just might say no.

🌙 BACKTAGGING: Y, I'll let you know if I need to drop something 🌙 FOURTHWALLING: N, kinda been through that enough with him, no thanks 🌙 HANDWAVING/DROPPING THREADS: Y, just hit me up so we know what happened 🌙 CRAU: N, prefer not, let's build something new instead of basing it off of cr with someone else 🌙 OFF LIMITS: Peter is not going to noncon anyone, and even dubious consent won't work for him. I'm not comfortable with him being in smutty stuff with anyone too young or too old. That's about it. 🌙 OPTING OUT: Don't feel like tagging with me? Totally fine, you can let me know here. Comments are screened!
🌖 FIRST IMPRESSIONS (OPTIONAL)
🌙 VISUAL: Peter is tall and lanky, almost gangly but surprisingly graceful. He constantly seems to be covered up with all sorts of layers, and that's because underneath he's incredibly toned and muscular. He's good looking but definitely doesn't really think about it, and his hair is near constantly a disaster. 🌙 FASHION: His style is kind of immature still, from jeans to band tees to hoodies. This isn't bound to get better in a place his aunt can't gift him acceptable clothing items for birthdays and holidays. And of course, sometimes he has a skintight spandex suit on, because why wouldn't you. References here 🌙 DEMEANOR: Most of the time, Peter is relatively easy and talkative in conversation, though occasionally he'll stumble on his words or say something weird and be a little embarrassed. When he's really out of his element, he has a tendency to stammer and be visibly uncomfortable. He's very awkward when he's around someone he likes romantically, though the more time he spends with them, the easier it gets. His hands always seem to be doing something, and he's not good at standing still. He keeps notable distance from people. 🌙 SOUND: Peter has an american accent, specifically New York, though it's not exaggerated. He does have a tendency to stutter or speak in starts and stops when he's nervous or embarrassed. He's not really one to yell, unless he's particularly annoyed. Reference here. 🌙 SCENT: He smells pretty normal. I don't think spider superpowers have a particular scent. He tries to keep clean, other than that, probably no cologne or anything like that. At most he smells like sweat and boy. 🌙 MENTAL ABILITIES/DEFENSES: He wouldn't have any defenses on this, though please contact me about what they'd find in his head if they're digging! 🌙 MAGICAL ABILITIES/DEFENSES: He does not have any magical abilities! 🌙 PHYSICAL ABILITIES/DEFENSES: Peter is Spider-Man, so he's got all the things that come along with that. You can read more details on his powers here. |

Appearance: Peter Parker is the definition of lanky. He really hasn't grown out of the teenage gangliness where everything seems a bit too stretched out. He's tall, lean, and incredibly muscular (that is thanks to the spider mutation of his genes more than anything). He's got dark hair that is usually sticking up at all angles, brown eyes, and he's pretty attractive, though most of the time he's either hiding behind glasses, bad posture, or both. And of course, we all know how he looks in the suit. Thanks to a sudden diet change about a year ago, though, he's even skinner than usual. (He's working on it...)
normal guy suit
Abilities: When Peter was a teenager, he was snooping into things he shouldn't have been and got bitten by a mutated spider. The spider was the result of his father's research, and keyed into his genetics, which is the only reason Peter survived the bite. He survived and then some, because the bite of the spider mutated his genes and left him with a lot of superhuman abilities.
He's incredibly strong, able to pick up busses and stop speeding trains. He has a tendency to break things without intending to because of his super strength. More than that, his reflexes are incredibly fast, able to move faster than most humans are able to react to. His "spidey senses" can often lead him to blocking blows on instinct. It is very difficult to catch him unaware between his reflexes, enhanced hearing and eyesight. Once forced to wear glasses every day, his eyesight is completely repaired and even sharper than normal at that. He can hear things from a great distance and see them, too.
Peter has small hairs all over his body just like a spider has on his legs, and for a lack of a better word, it makes him very sticky. This gives him the ability to climb walls like, well, a spider. He can stick to any surface with any part of his body, even through clothing. Sometimes he can stick to things without meaning to, especially when he's tired or not thinking about it.
Lastly, the mutation made him incredibly resistant to damage. He can take more hits than a normal human would, survive things that he shouldn't be able to, and still get up and walk around and keep fighting. His body is capable of withstanding the jolts and whiplash of webslinging and he has never been harmed by it. He also heals faster than most humans would, though the more grievous the injury the longer he will take to recover from it.
(Optional) Personality: Peter Parker is a hero. That's both a blessing and a curse. It means he has a big heart and a desire to help people. Doesn’t matter who or if they particularly deserve his help, he’s probably going to try anyway. He will go out of his way, putting himself in danger and hurting himself pretty badly, to protect people that need it. He doesn’t always ask if they want saving, either, he just does it because that’s what he knows. Sometimes he doesn’t stop to think about whether he should be helping, or if he should let people help themselves.
It’s left him with an enormous weight on his shoulders. His Uncle Ben told him that with great power came great responsibility. And that is a lesson he has taken to heart, some might argue too much. Peter will often sacrifice himself and his happiness for the sake of others. He puts aside his wants and his life for his responsibility of being a hero. He isn’t great at blending his vigilante identity with Peter Parker, the normal guy. He feels guilty when he focuses too much on himself, and sometimes it is very hard to get him to slow down and enjoy the little things.
He does enjoy little things, though. He’s still human underneath the super strength. He likes to spend time with people he likes, he’s pretty goofy and tends to make dumb jokes. He gets embarrassed pretty easily, and in a lot of ways he’s still learning who he’s going to be, even outside of trying to be a superhero. Which makes it hard to combine the two.
Peter cares a lot about people, and he had a strong sense of right and wrong and the need to stand up for people that needed help even before his mutation. Those parts of him are only enhanced now that he feels like it is his responsibility to look out for people that might not be strong enough to stand against the sort of threat he’s used to facing. When he makes a mistake, he feels it deeply, and chances are nobody can ever hold a mistake against him as well as he can.
Peter is also very notably very smart. He’s very intelligent, very capable, and very curious. He was 2nd in his class, capable of making incredible devices (such as his webslinger). That said he does not always commit himself to learning, mostly because he tends to be bored by it. It is hard to keep up with what he’s capable of, and he sees plenty of other things more deserving of his time and attention than homework. It’s part of why he didn’t pursue college after he graduated high school, though when he was intending to attend he was interested in biological physics like his father before him.
He carries a lot of unhappiness and resentment towards his father, though it has abated slightly with the knowledge of what exactly he was giving up in his attempts to protect him. Peter grew up with his aunt and uncle instead of his parents, who were killed when he was very young. He misses his parents intensely and is angry that they were not there for him. He has a strong connection to his aunt, who is his only living relative left. He carries immense guilt for the death of his uncle, and that spurs him to hold onto his advice and his memory.
In the end, he feels a lot of things strongly. Guilt, remorse, anger, happiness. It is not uncommon for him to be blinded by his emotions, and often make choices that are far from the right one when he's acting impulsively. He can be blinded to the truth of even his own actions (believing he was "helping people" searching for the man who killed his uncle), and can be hard to shake from an idea once he is committed to it. Often it takes something very jarring to realize he was wrong.
Ultimately, Peter Parker is a good guy. He can be a little impulsive and certainly a little selfish. He is quick to assume that he needs to do everything on his own, in his desire to protect others. He wants to help people, but he does not always do it in the right way, and he does not always listen to what they have to say in the matter. That said he’s not above learning. He cares immensely about the health and happiness of even absolute strangers, moreso people he cares about, and will always strive to do what he believe to be is the right thing. Even if it isn’t easy. He tries to live up to the responsibility that his power gives him, and even if he’s not a perfect hero, he’s never going to stop trying. He can offer a lot, and he owes it to the world to try and make something of it.
During his time in ALASTAIR, he’s had a lot of ups and downs. Peter spent most of his time trying to hide what he can do, thanks to some hard-earned lessons in his own world. Thanks to a huge reveal after being infected by the Bristol Virus, Peter ended up forced into a lot more honesty. Now he doesn’t hide his powers the way he used to, though it sure came with a cost. Slipping up on what he feels is his responsibility to protect others, he hurt a lot of innocents in Woodhurst. Especially the people he was closest to, and to be frank, he has yet to forgive himself. He is currently unable to eat meat since his contraction of Bristol, turns out it’s hard to go back to eating meat after you were trying to eat people.
He’s learned a lot during his time in ALASTAIR. He no longer hides who he is and what he can do. He’s coming to terms with the guilt he feels over Gwen Stacy and starting to realize the way he holds people – maybe the entire world – at arm’s length isn’t healthy. It isn’t to say he’s perfect or he’s done a 180, but he has managed to look back on past choices and start to think about how to make better ones. He’s promised himself that he’s done pushing people away to protect them, and that may or may not work out perfectly sometimes, yet he’s trying. He’s absolutely trying, and he doesn’t intend to give up being better than he’s been any time soon.

POWER PERMISSIONS.
Peter Parker is Spider-Man and that comes with a bunch of superpowers. They are as follows:
MUTATED GENES. Thanks to a radioactive spider-bite, Peter's genetics have been given some unusual properties. He heals faster, takes more hits, and is less prone to reacting to damage than a baseline human. His blood contains these mutated genes and because of this even on a molecular level he heals faster than other humans. Because his mutation is obvious and present in his blood, he is reluctant to share it with others for study.
SPIDER SENSES. Bordering on precognitive, his spider sense warns him about incoming threats and allows him to react incredibly quickly. He's able to avoid blows he doesn't even see coming because of these, and he does not have the utmost control over his reactions either. His eyesight and hearing are also enhanced. Please see the opt out comment here if you'd like to partially/completely opt out of this ability.
SUPER STRENGTH. Wouldn't be a Marvel without it. Peter can lift far more than an average human, able to catch and lift buses full of people and stop trains. He can often break things if he's not being careful. This ability has been fatally dangerous in the past when he acts too quickly without thinking, though Peter has better control than he gives himself credit for. Usually this sort of destruction only comes when he's hyper emotional or acting without thinking.
STICKY FINGERS. Sticky everything, really, thanks to some small hairs all over him after his mutation. It allows him to be able to crawl around walls and ceilings like a ... well, you can maybe guess.
OPT OUT.

Age: 18
History:
❝ Your father believed that if you could do good things for other people, you had a moral obligation to do those things! That's what's at stake here; not choice...responsibility. ❞
Personality:
+ SELFLESS. Peter is entirely willing to put others above himself. That can be bodily — like taking hits or worse because he can heal faster than an average human. He sustains plenty of injuries during his super-heroics, and prefers that to the idea of a civilian getting hurt. This consideration for the safety of others is not contingent on liking someone, Peter will go out of his way for absolute strangers and even farther for people he cares about. His selflessness comes out most clearly as Spider-Man, though it can come out as Peter Parker too. He'll agree to help out with tasks if asked, can be guilted easily, and struggles with saying no, even if he should. A good and a bad thing, maybe, though overall Peter is a helpful guy willing to do what he can for others.
+ STRONG MORAL CODE. Thanks to the aunt and uncle that raised him (and the father he barely remembers, who sorta maybe kinda abandoned his son for his principles), Peter has an extremely strong sense of right and wrong. While there's some flexibility in that — such as, fighting crime as a vigilante after warrants were put out for his arrest — in general, Peter has a firm understanding of what he believes in. Peter does not kill, even though he has the power to do so. He never uses more force than he needs to. He subdues nonlethally and often with his webshooters over knocking people out. He dislikes things like deception, theft, and cruelty, pretty much any abuse of power that hurts people that can't fight back against it. Occasionally Peter will bend on his stringent moral code. However, often that blows up in his face and pushes him back on the straight and narrow. See, his uncle dying to the mugger that Peter did not try to stop when he had the chance. He has yet to let himself live that one down.
+ CURIOSITY. It's a good thing there isn't any sayings about spiders and curiosity. Because if there were, Peter would be doomed. He has a terrible knack for getting fixated on something and obsessively exploring it. No matter the dangers, or how many people he trusts have tried to guide him away from it. A great example was when he was looking into his father's research and ended up with superpowers. Another is... when he was researching his father's disappearance and found his secret lab in an abandoned subway station, despite his poor auntie pushed to tears for it. Peter is full of curiosity, scientific and otherwise, and when he gets engaged and excited about a subject, he will devote exhaustive amounts of time to it. That can be a bad thing as well as a good thing, depending on what he's fixating on. Overall, though, it helps him to learn new things and be adaptive, to stay open to discovery.
- GUILTY. Peter has a guilty conscience a mile wide. And while it's not a bad thing, to feel remorse when you've done something wrong, Peter takes it to an entirely different level. He never feels he's done enough, especially when things go wrong. He will assign blame and guilt when it only barely makes sense, like considering himself responsible for Uncle Ben's death for simply not stopping a mugger when he had the chance. Peter believes his position as someone superpowered, combined with the heights of his responsibility, weights his decisions more than the average person. To some extent, he's right; the choices Spider-Man makes can be more important, and can cause a lot more harm than the choices of an average person that can't lift a city bus. However, he takes on guilt like a leaking boat takes on water, to an unhealthy degree. He doesn't forgive himself and constantly doubts whether he's doing the right thing.
- SECRETIVE. While Peter doesn't enjoy lying, he is secretive about certain things in his life. His powers first and foremost. He avoids telling people the truth of what he is and what he can do. Gwen is the only person he has ever told intentionally. Everyone else in his life is kept in the dark, with the intention of protecting them, or found out on accident (and died shortly after. Coincidence? Peter sure doesn't think so). However, Peter's secrecy results in Harry spiraling because he thinks Peter does not care about him, as well as causing Aunt May nights of panic and distress when he comes home beat to hell and refuses to explain why. His secrets hurt people as much as they protect them. However, Peter is even more resolved to keep them after Gwen was killed because of her connection to him.
- LONE WOLF. As the only super in his city that isn't financed by Oscorp or mildly evil (sometimes both!!!), Peter is used to working on his lonesome. He has little experience with working with others, and even then he is known to sideline that person if he is concerned for their safety. See, throwing Gwen out a window, or webbing her to the front of a car. While he was able to learn to be more open and collaborative with her, he immediately regressed after that openness resulted in her death. Peter will deliberately ignore requests and commands, and the will of others, if he thinks they are in danger. Especially if he thinks he can do something to protect them, whether they like it or not.
Powers/Abilities:
MUTATED GENES. Thanks to a radioactive spider-bite, Peter's genetics have been given some unusual properties. He heals faster, takes more hits, and is less prone to reacting to damage than a baseline human. His blood contains these mutated genes and because of this even on a molecular level he heals faster than other humans. Because his mutation is obvious and present in his blood, he is reluctant to give blood or samples that could give his mutation away.
SPIDER SENSES. More or less precognitive, his spider sense warns him about incoming threats and allows him to react incredibly quickly. His reflexes are heightened to match his senses, and he's able to avoid blows he doesn't even see coming because of the combination. That said, he does not have the utmost control over his reactions, either, though his control is greater now than it was when he initially got his powers. Peter's eyesight, hearing, and balance are also enhanced. He can hear things blocks away and things near him more clearly, and he can see things at great distances and no longer needs corrective lenses.
SUPER STRENGTH. Wouldn't be a marvel without it. Peter can lift far more than an average human, able to catch and lift buses full of people and stop trains. He can often break things if he's not being careful. He is also kept incredibly fit and muscular due to his enhanced strength, along with extreme flexibility.
STICKY FINGERS. Sticky everything, really, thanks to some small hairs all over him after his mutation. It allows him to be able to crawl around walls and ceilings like a ... well, you can maybe guess.
Regret: There's quite a few, truth be told. While what happened to Gwen is a major regret, Peter hopes that if he can change the night Uncle Ben died, what happened to Gwen will also be reversed.

Name: Peter Parker
Canon: The Amazing Spider-Man
Canon point: End of TASM2
Age: 18
History:
IC PERMISSIONS PHYSICAL AFFECTION: Sure! He ... well, he'll be awkward about it. But in general, sure. ROMANCE/FLIRTING: Absolutely. He's not particularly interested these days (thanks to tragic girlfriend deaths) but still, I'm game! PHYSICAL VIOLENCE: Yes, sure, but let's chat about it! He doesn't have powers at game start but he will eventually, and he's pretty hard to fight when he does. DEATH: Sure, but only if we've discussed it ahead of time. PSYCHIC ABILITIES: Yes, he has no defenses for this! Just please contact me about what would be seen/heard/felt. MAGIC/ETC.: He'd be weirded out by magic in general but sure, he has no defenses against this! Again, just be in contact with me about what you're going to do with and to him. IDENTIFYING FEATURES + MEDICAL INFORMATION: Peter is pretty tall and very gangly, his stature and horrible posture (outside of his spider suit) are certainly an identifying feature. He has some freckles and moles, and extremely messy hair. He has an odd talent for being beat to shit all the time. As far as medical concerns: he heals quickly, thanks to a spider mutation. His heartbeat is faster than a normal human. His genetics are modified due to a radioactive spider-bite, though it's not possible to tell that just looking at him or his blood. OFFENSIVE SUBJECTS & CONTENT WARNINGS: Peter doesn't tend to get into much offensive stuff, but as a content warning: he did accidentally kill his girlfriend and thinks about it sometimes. Death in general is something that follows him around and might show up in his meta text. Oh, and spiders. Might be some spider talk. OOC PERMISSIONS PLAYER: Kitty PREFERRED CONTACT: PM or TAGGING TIMES/STYLE: Nights and weekends. CST BACKTAGGING: Sure. In general, if it isn't plot centric, I might let some things go at the start of a new month, but I'll let you know if that's the case. I won't drop anything without letting you know! FOURTHWALLING: I'm fine with it to a certain extent. Calling him out as Spider-Man, sure. Calling him out as Andrew Garfield playing Spiderman from a 2013 movie, no thanks. THREADHOPPING/JACKING: Sure! OFFENSIVE SUBJECTS & CONTENT WARNINGS: Rape & pedophilia are things I'd like to avoid! ANYTHING ELSE: I'm game for pretty much anything! The biggest thing for me is communication. As long as I have that, I'm happy to maim, murder, or traumatize Peter Parker in more ways than you can imagine. |
