Appearance: Peter Parker is the definition of lanky. He really hasn't grown out of the teenage gangliness where everything seems a bit too stretched out. He's tall, lean, and incredibly muscular (that is thanks to the spider mutation of his genes more than anything). He's got dark hair that is usually sticking up at all angles, brown eyes, and he's pretty attractive, though most of the time he's either hiding behind glasses, bad posture, or both. And of course, we all know how he looks in the suit. Thanks to a sudden diet change about a year ago, though, he's even skinner than usual. (He's working on it...)

Abilities: When Peter was a teenager, he was snooping into things he shouldn't have been and got bitten by a mutated spider. The spider was the result of his father's research, and keyed into his genetics, which is the only reason Peter survived the bite. He survived and then some, because the bite of the spider mutated his genes and left him with a lot of superhuman abilities.

He's incredibly strong, able to pick up busses and stop speeding trains. He has a tendency to break things without intending to because of his super strength. More than that, his reflexes are incredibly fast, able to move faster than most humans are able to react to. His "spidey senses" can often lead him to blocking blows on instinct. It is very difficult to catch him unaware between his reflexes, enhanced hearing and eyesight. Once forced to wear glasses every day, his eyesight is completely repaired and even sharper than normal at that. He can hear things from a great distance and see them, too.

Peter has small hairs all over his body just like a spider has on his legs, and for a lack of a better word, it makes him very sticky. This gives him the ability to climb walls like, well, a spider. He can stick to any surface with any part of his body, even through clothing. Sometimes he can stick to things without meaning to, especially when he's tired or not thinking about it.

Lastly, the mutation made him incredibly resistant to damage. He can take more hits than a normal human would, survive things that he shouldn't be able to, and still get up and walk around and keep fighting. His body is capable of withstanding the jolts and whiplash of webslinging and he has never been harmed by it. He also heals faster than most humans would, though the more grievous the injury the longer he will take to recover from it.

(Optional) Personality: Peter Parker is a hero. That's both a blessing and a curse. It means he has a big heart and a desire to help people. Doesn’t matter who or if they particularly deserve his help, he’s probably going to try anyway. He will go out of his way, putting himself in danger and hurting himself pretty badly, to protect people that need it. He doesn’t always ask if they want saving, either, he just does it because that’s what he knows. Sometimes he doesn’t stop to think about whether he should be helping, or if he should let people help themselves.

It’s left him with an enormous weight on his shoulders. His Uncle Ben told him that with great power came great responsibility. And that is a lesson he has taken to heart, some might argue too much. Peter will often sacrifice himself and his happiness for the sake of others. He puts aside his wants and his life for his responsibility of being a hero. He isn’t great at blending his vigilante identity with Peter Parker, the normal guy. He feels guilty when he focuses too much on himself, and sometimes it is very hard to get him to slow down and enjoy the little things.

He does enjoy little things, though. He’s still human underneath the super strength. He likes to spend time with people he likes, he’s pretty goofy and tends to make dumb jokes. He gets embarrassed pretty easily, and in a lot of ways he’s still learning who he’s going to be, even outside of trying to be a superhero. Which makes it hard to combine the two.

Peter cares a lot about people, and he had a strong sense of right and wrong and the need to stand up for people that needed help even before his mutation. Those parts of him are only enhanced now that he feels like it is his responsibility to look out for people that might not be strong enough to stand against the sort of threat he’s used to facing. When he makes a mistake, he feels it deeply, and chances are nobody can ever hold a mistake against him as well as he can.

Peter is also very notably very smart. He’s very intelligent, very capable, and very curious. He was 2nd in his class, capable of making incredible devices (such as his webslinger). That said he does not always commit himself to learning, mostly because he tends to be bored by it. It is hard to keep up with what he’s capable of, and he sees plenty of other things more deserving of his time and attention than homework. It’s part of why he didn’t pursue college after he graduated high school, though when he was intending to attend he was interested in biological physics like his father before him.

He carries a lot of unhappiness and resentment towards his father, though it has abated slightly with the knowledge of what exactly he was giving up in his attempts to protect him. Peter grew up with his aunt and uncle instead of his parents, who were killed when he was very young. He misses his parents intensely and is angry that they were not there for him. He has a strong connection to his aunt, who is his only living relative left. He carries immense guilt for the death of his uncle, and that spurs him to hold onto his advice and his memory.

In the end, he feels a lot of things strongly. Guilt, remorse, anger, happiness. It is not uncommon for him to be blinded by his emotions, and often make choices that are far from the right one when he's acting impulsively. He can be blinded to the truth of even his own actions (believing he was "helping people" searching for the man who killed his uncle), and can be hard to shake from an idea once he is committed to it. Often it takes something very jarring to realize he was wrong.

Ultimately, Peter Parker is a good guy. He can be a little impulsive and certainly a little selfish. He is quick to assume that he needs to do everything on his own, in his desire to protect others. He wants to help people, but he does not always do it in the right way, and he does not always listen to what they have to say in the matter. That said he’s not above learning. He cares immensely about the health and happiness of even absolute strangers, moreso people he cares about, and will always strive to do what he believe to be is the right thing. Even if it isn’t easy. He tries to live up to the responsibility that his power gives him, and even if he’s not a perfect hero, he’s never going to stop trying. He can offer a lot, and he owes it to the world to try and make something of it.

During his time in ALASTAIR, he’s had a lot of ups and downs. Peter spent most of his time trying to hide what he can do, thanks to some hard-earned lessons in his own world. Thanks to a huge reveal after being infected by the Bristol Virus, Peter ended up forced into a lot more honesty. Now he doesn’t hide his powers the way he used to, though it sure came with a cost. Slipping up on what he feels is his responsibility to protect others, he hurt a lot of innocents in Woodhurst. Especially the people he was closest to, and to be frank, he has yet to forgive himself. He is currently unable to eat meat since his contraction of Bristol, turns out it’s hard to go back to eating meat after you were trying to eat people.

He’s learned a lot during his time in ALASTAIR. He no longer hides who he is and what he can do. He’s coming to terms with the guilt he feels over Gwen Stacy and starting to realize the way he holds people – maybe the entire world – at arm’s length isn’t healthy. It isn’t to say he’s perfect or he’s done a 180, but he has managed to look back on past choices and start to think about how to make better ones. He’s promised himself that he’s done pushing people away to protect them, and that may or may not work out perfectly sometimes, yet he’s trying. He’s absolutely trying, and he doesn’t intend to give up being better than he’s been any time soon.
