I don't have armor, but I also don't have to think about avoiding katanas and gunfire like you do. It just happens. ( and okay so maybe he relies on it happening a little too much and sometimes he walks away worse for the wear, but he still could handle the injury better than Matt — his suit would be the only thing with a hole in it after a day or two. there are plenty of reasons why he would have been pretty good backup, if Matt were willing to ask. Peter had been assuming Matt didn't want to see him hurt, but it turns out he also has critiques for being too softhanded. Peter is actually stunned silent for a moment, but unfortunately for Matt, not for long. ) So what, because I try not to leave people unconscious you just had to go fight doubly armed yakuza by yourself?

Peter doesn't hit that hard because he knows that, and Matt should know it too, instead of judging him for it. despite being a lot more angry now than he'd been not even thirty seconds ago, Peter can see that even arguing his case is painful for Matt. it isn't worth pushing him any further, not right now. ) Stop moving, you're making it worse. ( his voice sounds sharp, but there goes the thrill of his heartbeat again, giving away he's more terrified than angry. )
