Wow. I guess I have not been socializing enough, if I've somehow missed out on deities in our midst.

( he's more atheist than anything, so he doesn't know if he even believes in gods. so it's weird to think of them hanging around. )

Yeah, there's a ton. I talked to Aphrodite, goddess of love, Persephone, goddess of spring, then there's Thanatos, who is either Death itself or the God of death, I'm not quite sure. There's also a bunch of demigods around, like me, so...the Greek pantheon seems to be the most popular.

Oh yeah, my biological father was a Celestial. It's an old as balls being, like a god, who could manipulate matter, energy, create an avatar of himself. He was a planet. Or rather, a brain that built a planet around himself. It's a long story.

He was insane too, and wanted to destroy the whole galaxy. We put a stop to that and I lost all my power when he died. Funny story that...

He doesn't sound like much of a dad, but it would be hard either way. I'm sorry that happened to you, though what it's worth? It sounds like you did the right thing.
